Chateau Grief 8

Narration(Xander):It's done. As expected, Grant is here to tell me how irresponsible I am.

Narration(Xander):I'm afraid that he's right. But who says you need a medical degree to play brain surgeon.

Narration(Xander): That's her scream echoing in ways only I can hear. She's fighting the anesthetic.

Narration(Xander): Grant is so angry that I think he's going to have an apoplectic fit.

Narration(Xander): But there's no going back. Unless I kill her. That's an option I'm sure Grant wouldn't approve of.

Narration(Xander): So, I've got him. He's lost already.

Narration(Xander): I didn't even have to force his mind.

Narration(Xander): Time to face the music and dance.

Thought(Grant): Can't see a thing in here. You'll ruin your eyes.

Grant: I brought Mr. Shane to see you.

Xander: Yes.

Narration(Xander): Get it over with.

Grant I didn't think you could even get drunk. Good to see it. Have another.

Xander: I'm not drunk.

Narration(Xander): Here's where selling the act is vital. He knows me too well.

Grant: Well?

Xander: I won't have a moron like Mr. Shane carrying on my legacy. I don't want to talk about it anymore. The surgery failed. That's all there is to it.

Narration(Xander): As if I've ever failed at anything. I don't expect him to remember this in the heat of the argument.

Author Notes:

He's got an audience for this little performance. And it's not Grant.

Episode Recap:

And here we are in dry clothes and covered with blood. Yikes. Evil plan has been executed. Xander’s done something to Kore, who is apparently floating in a pool of sound, and Grant is mad as jumping jehoshaphat, and Xander is drinking the booze. Xander is even messed up enough that he accidentally shatters a glass and cuts himself. Boom! Xander telekinetically opens the door Grant’s been banging on. Grant dutifully hangs up his hat, and then turns up the lights. Xander meanwhile is soooo drunk. Grant apparently has brought Shane to get inspected by Xander or something. And it comes out that Xander’s operated on both Kore and Shane, and it didn’t go well for Shane. Oopsie daisy. Except that little narration at the end where Xander insinuates that this was all on purpose & that he’s still playing Grant like a fiddle.
