Grant: Eugene, I thought you refused funding for Di’s memorial plaque, but parliament just sent us these…

Grant: Eugene?

Grant: Slacker.

Esme: I just really can’t believe this structural complicity! The prime minister is an open Satanist? How can you deny what’s going on?

Reporter: But Satanists are only one of Eynhallow’s many official political parties, how can you say we’re all responsible for their actions?

Grant: Eugene are you up here brooding over a book again?

Grant: Look, I know you’re listening, Eugene!

Esme: Every blood sacrifice that a Satanist makes, if you didn’t do everything in your power to stop it, you are equally guilty and a Satanist yourself.

Esme: Satanism is fundamentally immoral and we must abolish all Satanists.

Reporter: When you say abolish…?

Esme: They won’t exist in a just and moral world.

Grant: Eugene!

Esme: Today is historic. We are taking power back from the forces of evil. We will not be marginalized any more.

Esme: The telepath and the Satanist enablers are weak and we have internalized this oppression for too long. Today it ends.

Remember when this plan was hatched in front of the Big Moose Steak?  Good times.

characters; Grant, Esme, that guy I don't remember his name.

Episode Recap: Grant has got a stack of papers for Xander to sign, and he’s looking for him in his office. You know. Finish pruning the roses, get to work on affairs of state. Xander is not there. Grant tosses his papers on the desk and flips on the tv. Esme Jones is being interviewed by the intrepid reporter who snagged an interview of both Kore and Xander days earlier. He’s on fire. Career is obviously going well. Jones goes on a rant about Satanists. Grant isn’t too fond of Di, he should eat this stuff up, right? No, well Grant happens to look out the window and see there’s a torch wielding mob on its way and the city’s on fire. Work for Frankenstein, get the pitchfork. The crowd is demanding Kore’s head though, not Xander’s. Grant goes running to presumably do something about this.
