Qureshi: Listen to us. Talking abut Evil Overlords and Satan like it's natural. No one bothers to think how abominable it all is. We had a simpler life once. Everyone managed to get along. People were hospitable.

Qureshi: We must educate people! Esmerelda, my dearest Esme, you have such a gift with words! What if you gave a speech!

Qureshi: A speech opposing all forms of telepathy and supernatural equality!

Narration (Marozi): She's worn holes in her jackets too... leaning against her desk... studying every book that comes into Qureshi's shop. Analyzing figures and selecting appropriate books for the population to consume...

Esme: I'm not sure a speech would do much good. I'm not sure a riot would do much good.

Esme: And I'm beginning to have my doubts that a revolution would do any better.

Esme: What if Xander turns around one day and gives Kore the ability to read minds? If we go up against him unprepared like this, he could just destroy us. What will all our work have been god for then?

Esme: Keeping focus on blocking one telepath source is almost impossible. There is literally no way we can fight two of them. And if he's in love with that girl, how long do you think we have? Before it's all over?

Marozi: Oh surely he can't just give people the ability to read minds just like that! If it was that easy, why hasn't he done it aleady?

Marozi: I think it's a limitation. I know we don't have any evidence that he's got limitations...but I have faith that one exists.

Esme: Faith is what got us into this mess.

Angus: I dunno. I got sent here for killing a #&$*^@ Irishman.

Author Notes:

Marozi's machiavellian nature on the one hand repels me, but on the other hand, he's gonna carry these guys to a win whether they like it or not.

Characters:  Qureshi, Marozi, Jones, Angus. I don't think Angus really considers himself a part of this little boring meeting, do you?

This week on patreon my search for better comic lines continued apace, so I put up a few of the comics that I’m working on, a finished set of lines for Kore, looking pretty, and a set of lines with construction lines for Di, looking sneaky and awesome.  We did a masterclass on English watercolorist Tristram Ellis.  The Avila Beach walkthrough, the Saturday Morning Comic, Chateau Grief 172.
