Grant: you’re a fool not to listen to me, Kore.

Kore: I’ve seen the angel of death. I halted the world. Did you feel it?

Grant: Then just stop fighting! He’s come for your should and he’s got it.

Grant: You can’t fight him, No one can. That’s telepathy. The power to do anything.

Grant: I shouldn’t get all excited & worked up over this. It’s bad for my blood pressure.

Kore: I just got my ass handed to me back there by a guy who can’t walk straight enough to pass a sobriety test! Xander’s right. He’s not going anywhere.

Kore: This is the end of the line for him.

Kore: And if he’s that dangerous, what am I? How could I go back to my life like this? With no one to stop me when I have a nightmare.

Kore: And he knows I have nightmares.

Kore: Hell, that angel was by us that night on the rocks. I’d know that smell anywhere.

Kore: I don’t know what deal Ves struck with him to let us go.

Grant: Eugene hasn’t ever mentioned angels. He should know. There is no spiritual world.

Kore: But you still believe in one. You can’t hide your mind completely from me, Grant. It’s never mattered what Xander says or doesn’t say.

Author Notes:

Great now Kore is losing it too.

Episode Recap:

Grant is doing his thing with hats again.  Kore comes in ranting and rambling about something or other to do with the earthquake. Grant gets quite miffed that she’s not proving to be better resister of the massive psych-out that Xander’s been pulling on her all comic.   She’s slipping, she can’t hold out against him.  Grant’s seen it all before and he’s hopping mad.  But he’s always hopping mad. Kore meanwhile is jittery in the extreme, she’s starting to see exactly how the trap works that Xander’s been framing around her.  Xander’s telling her, ‘if you won’t stay here with me for ME, stay here with me to keep everyone else safe from YOU.’  If she goes back and she’ll become everything that he is to Eynhallow.  Meanwhile Kore’s starting to suspect that Xander paid some kind of a cosmic karmic purchase price for her and Shane, and what implications might that have?  She’s really not doing well, her mind is still halfway between whatever other dimension she saw that crazy stuff last episode in.  Grant continues to Grant.  At least he’s reliable.
