What's more surprising, when he smashes someone out a window or the fact that he would do this scene?

Episode Recap:
I guess we all knew he had to face this moment eventually. Grant has come to drag him back and clothe him. Xander is grateful (!) for this because he’s been in psychic distress to the extent that it’s led Grant right to him. Grant takes the moment to admonish Xander to rethink his reckless, reckless life. Odds on that are hopefully better now that we’ve learned this life lesson, right? Xander is so depressed he’s wondering how to carry on. Grant looks like he might be getting ideas. Xander effusively confesses that Grant was right about everything and that he’s been foolishly infatuated with a woman who is extremely wrong for him. He forswears everything and promises to stay the hard road, the right road, the higher road and keep doing what they’ve been doing on Eynhallow so far. Except there’s a ‘dreadful lot of shouting’ in the city. That’s been working out so well, hasn’t it? Xander even rolls out the magic words and apologizes. Grant seems smugly satisfied with this, and honestly aren’t we all? However I will point out with the moves Kore made on Grant earlier, Xander doesn’t have too many choices on how he plays this if he wants to salvage things. She’s decided to target Grant? Well haha, so has he.
