Episode Recap.

Grant drives up in his car and sneaks out behind the crowd who has torched a house down the street. He’s looking for Xander since Xander called him here, but got the address wrong. Grant wonders where the authorities are, but they are nowhere to be found. Then Grant senses that spaceship Xander has landed. Xander appears out of the burning house dragging the kid who the crowd is trying to kill. What was his crime? Guess. The child protests that he didn’t align himself with Xander in his mind, that he remained faithful to the mob’s anti-telepath ideology, even in the face of death, but who really believes him? Xander has shown the child his divine favor before, and now he’s done it again. Xander asks the crowd what is about to become a very pertinent question. Grant does not appear confident that Xander will extend the same grace to the rest of the dearly beloved we are gathered here today.
