So…let’s discuss this memorial plaque.

So Xander is walking through a large group of his subjects, and is whining about the fact that they’re mad at him. But despite his best efforts, like Kore before him, he’s not able to get them to recognize him. I mean I guess if he really wanted to he could like decapitate someone and give everyone a little speech about it. Whatever reaction he wants from them, it’s something different. He sat for that portrait this morning. He complained it didn’t look like him. He shapeshifts into the dude on the poster, or what he thinks it looks like. And he still can’t get them to recognize his face, they’ll only recognize him if he cuts loose with magic. So anyways. Everyone’s dragging sticks and piling them up in a big pile. Xander goes to help because he’s helpful like that. He even starts trying to light matches in the rain. Having a grand old time, he is. And then we figure out why. They’re fixing to light up his newest least-favorite dinner guest, Prime Minister Di, who’s got her horned headband on askew and is looking quite fetching, if a little retro in a floral print Art Deco ombre frock.
