Chateau Grief 294

Narration:(Xander) She doesn’t dare speak. Paralyzed with fear. Will I save her? Will I condemn her to death?

Narration:(Xander) Would I just stand and watch…this face as the last thing she’ll ever see?

Xander: Here don’t just throw it. Line it up straight.

Xander: You want to get a good solid draft going.

Xander: Burns hotter.

Xander: Really? Still nothing?

Guy: Death to the Satanist enablers.

Xander: Sure. Kill Kore Smaragdos.

Xander: Ordeal by iron?

Old guy: Yes I suppose. I don’t really have anything to do with this.

Old guy: We were just going to swing over by the playground.

Narration:(Xander) Nothing. Absolutely nothing

Narration:(Xander) And then finally…finally…she teleports into the crowd.

Author Notes:

Very reassuring Ves, very reassuring.

characters: Xander, Di

Episode Recap

Well Di’s in a bit of a pickle this week and Xander is gloating. Of all the people to recognize him, well, she does. I suppose it was all those long hours going over the budget proposals after the Wednesday sessions of Parliament. At least Xander’s finally found his fan club. Di is worried of course, but Xander gives her a little wink and then proceeds to instruct the hoi polloi on how to build better fires. It’s a thing. He did this with Shane too. I suppose he’s trying to get the mob to burn him at the stake along with Di, but they don’t bite. Xander signals his resignation to Di, and then goes and scares off some people who shouldn’t be there. Because Kore’s riding in to the rescue and he’s presumably trying to limit the casualties to combatants.
