Qureshi: Would you mind bringing the billboards outside again James? The crowds don’t seem so violent now, perhaps we will be spared having to make that unpleasant choice.

Qureshi: Maybe they have already found Ms. Smaragdos and down whatever they wanted. We shouldn’t endanger our cause by stepping into a fight that is not ours.

Narration (Marozi): Skid mark is still there from when that car hit the bike.

Narration (Marozi): Oh well. I have boxes and boxes of books upstairs to index. Saving heretics will have to…

Narration (Marozi): …wait.

Xander: Do you work here?

Marozi: Yeah man, how can I help you?

Xander: You might want to quit.

Marozi: Nothing else to do on this island. I might as well have a job.

Xander: In that case you might want to take a smoking break.

Marozi: I thought you hated smokers.

Xander: Pal, smoke can be a wonderful thing to watch…

Xander: If you son’t go around breathing it.

characters: James Marozi (Rafe), Qureshi, Xander

Episode Recap:

Well Rafe is unable to convince his employer that he’s doing anything wrong.  And when you put it that way, is anyone surprised?  There will be no re-evaluation of business strategy at this bookstore/coffeeshop.  Qureshi politely asks Rafe to increase the marketing push because it’s an opportune business moment.  Thirsty crowds after a day of rioting going to the only building on the street whose windows haven’t been smashed etc.  After all, Qureshi points out, they don’t technically know if Kore is even still alive right now so why worry about it?  Marozi goes outside to set up some sales signs.  Packed crowds have been replaced with dog walkers and ladies coffee nite.  Marozi scuffs the swerve mark from chapter 3 and decides to just stop worrying about everything and enjoy the day.  This is when Xander makes his entrance.  They have a little exchange.  Anyways, Xander goes inside and Marozi has to come up with a plan or something.
