Qureshi: Not all of our hand-lettered manuscripts! Not all of our work!

Rafe: I have more! There are boxes and boxes in my shed by the docks!

Rafe: We haven’t sold half of what Adrien’s brought me. The building is concrete.

Rafe: Let it clean itself out and we’ll restock.

Rafe: Your life is worth more than books.

Qureshi: That’s our only history! All we have left of our lives!

Narration(Rafe): The flames don’t do more than cosmetic damage to the upper floor.

Narration(Rafe): The books…however…

Narration(Rafe): …are soaked.

Episode Recap:

Well we get that famous Sherman quote which shows why Xander would feel like he could relate to the guy.  Despite Rhelan Grant’s many serious character flaws, it’s about time to appreciate what he puts up with.  Qureshi is having a moment of bad judgment as Rafe prevents him from running back into the burning building to save his books.  Rafe attempts to reason with him, and eventually Qureshi sees the light. He’s messed over by this though, which is exactly why Xander designed the punishment this way.  Esme directs the fire brigade in, and wouldn’t you know, causes more damage than the actual fire.  It’s out though, and everyone makes an attempt to dry out the books.  There’s a lot of books.
