Chateau Grief 253

Narration(Xander): So Shane is having a seizure. What does she expect with all these emotions running loose?

Narration(Xander): Next she’ll be after me to fix him…again…

Narration(Xander): Then she’ll run. …again…

Narration(Xander): She’ll drop me as quickly as she did tonight.

Narration(Xander): Because no matter how she feels about it personally…she’s got responsibilities…and I’m an inconvenience to her career.

Narration(Xander): She’d never accept me into her life. This? …when this could happen?

Narration(Xander): It’s ridiculous even to contemplate.

Narration(Xander): Only desperate women go to parties on the arms of old men. And desperation never won a negotiation in the history of the world. Logic reigns supreme.

Episode Recap:

Well now the house is on fire.  The earthquake is getting bad enough that Xander’s bed goes flying by, and he snags his pants off it before it smashes into the wall.  I know I know, the toga.  Xander explains that Shane’s seizure is somewhat to be expected considering the circumstances.  Right before the floor falls out.  Xander starts considering his options and the likely outcome of his actions.  (What he actually does this?)  He’s rating his chances of coming to some kind of understanding with Kore as zip.  After all, he could be the one having a seizure here.  Instead, he’s the one holding things together, and picking up the pieces of each disaster in sequence.  Kore can’t afford to look weak, he understands, and neither can he.  I expect the consequences for him losing it would be a bit more severe than if she did though.
